So what do you do when you have an oversized picture and no frame. Well, I got a solution.
Head to your local craft store and buy Foam Board, Decorative tacks, and glue.
You now have all the supplies to make your very own customized frame.
I ordered this 20 X 30 picture from mpix back in February 2015 and had been on a search for a frame that isn’t going to break the bank. Well haven’t had any luck, so I decided to create my own. Not including the picture my frame only cost just a little over $10. Considering most frame this size cost anywhere from $50 -$100 I think that’s a steal. I bought all my supplies at my local Walmart. So how did I create it you ask? I used two Foam boards found back in the kid’s art supplies section of Walmart the glue can be found there too. I then went back to the sewing section and found decorative tacks 5-6 packs should do the trick depending on how close you want them spaced apart.
I then glued the foam board together. Now you want to glue the back of your picture to the boards to keep it more secure. Gluing is optional, use a clear cellophane over the pictures to give it a look of having glass over it. I did not use this on mine, but if you do take your picture and place it on the cellophane and trace the size of your image then cut it out. Now add your decorative tacks around the edge of your image. You just created a cute and simple frame. Add (3M Command™ 4-Pack Large Picture Hanging Strips).
