Mom and me hat
So I wanted to create matching hats for my youngest daughter and I.
I mean it is totally adorable to be matching right! Who couldn’t think this is entirely darling?
I have created the pattern below and hope you enjoy.
Don’t mind the adult size hat. I made it last year and had put it through its use alright.
This hat is super easy to make and thought it would be cute to have my little sweetie to have a matching hat like mom.
Yarn- Red Heart soft
Hook – 5mm
Hdc- Half Double Crochet
Slst- Slip Stitch
Size 6-9 month (Note this hat can be created in any size you want just add more width and height).
Round 1: Hdc in the first stitch from the hook. Hdc the remaining stitches.
Round 2: Hdc in each of the back stitches across. Repeat this round till you reach about 12.5 inches.
Round 3: Hdc in each stitch around till you reach the length of 5.5 inches in height.
Now join each of the sides in the middle and slst the gaps like the picture below you should have created a big X.
Donations are greatly appreciated. There is a lot of expenses to run a blog and materials to create the free patterns. Thanks and come again. Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook at Just crafting around
